This is a struggle that I know intimately, both personally and through the stories of many entrepreneurs I've supported.

In case you're still disillusioned: the hard truth is that there isn't a "destination" you'll ever get to where you'll suddenly be happy forever.

It's the nature of being dynamic human beings. In fact, it's not just the nature of human beings to be ever-growing and ever-evolving, but it's the nature of Nature!

It's the nature of life!

But it's not the nature of the stories we've been told...

About how if you go to the right school and find the right partner and get the right job (or start the right business) then you'll have it made and be happy.

I mean literally how many times did we hear "...and they lived happily ever after," right?

But that's NOT actually how it works.

...And the moment you stop beating yourself up for:

1) Not getting all the right boxed checked and/or

2) Not being happy for having the "right" boxes checked that you DID manage to get checked off...

...is the moment you start to experience a new kind of freedom.

It doesn't matter how successful your business has been, how many places you've been featured, how many people know your name (or not!).

The key is to figure out how to recognize and appreciate what you DO have, while developing PRACTICAL strategies that will take you in the direction your heart is calling you NOW.

And THAT is my area of passion and expertise.

Because the thing is, once you realize that the key to that happiness, joy or satisfaction is not waiting for you in the distant future, then it means finding ways to connect to that sense of aliveness along the way...

like NOW... or if not now, then later tonight... or tomorrow morning...

And connecting to that sense of aliveness doesn't mean that everything in your life is peachy-keen and easy.

Hard stuff happens in life.

There is always beauty to be found amidst the heartache, and there will inevitibly be heartache to be found amidst the beauty...

Again, it's the nature of life.

And even tho there are CERTAINLY challenges and heartbreak that can come out of being true to yourself...

There's also a way in which it is so much easier and your life keeps getting BETTER when you get out of your own way, stop trying to fit into the boxes of other people's expectations (even and especially the loved ones closest to us) and start to embrace who YOU really are, what YOU really want, and what kind of business and revenue model actually fits YOU.

It's something that I've learned the hard way and part of my purpose on this planet is to share the beauty and the heartbreak of my life experiences with others so that you can feel less alone, more supported and more inspired in your journey toward more full knowing, expressing and becoming who you truly are.
