There was a time in my life when I thought that being part of a group inherently meant that I had to be LESS of myself in order to fit in.

Have lower standards.

Talk less.

Cry less.

Don't tell them what I'm REALLY thinking...

Don't ask for what I REALLY want...

I thought that it meant, by necessity, giving up part of my freedom.

So it was life-changing when I found a sense of community with people who could hold my tears as comfortably as my laughter, who would offer a whole-hearted "Yes!" to so many things, but who I could also trust to give me an honest "No," when their answer was NOT a whole-hearted yes.

That community helped me redefine, not only what it can mean to be in a group, but what personal connection can look like.

I encountered a degree of honesty and vulnerability from people that I'd never experienced before.

You mean when you're attracted to someone, you can just have a conversation wit them about it? Seriously?? 🤯

How refreshing!

When you think someone doesn't like you, you can just ask them if it's true? ?

Who knew?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

You mean that person who seemed to be kind of an asshole actually DOES want to hear your feelings? And it turns out, that when you hear theirs, you actually build trust with them instead of lose it?

Huh... Who'd have guessed?

I discovered a sense of aliveness in this community and with these people that I have been following ever since...

Maybe it's because of that community, or maybe it's I've dealt with the death of people I've known since I was a teenager, I'm not sure.

But what I do know is that I live a life fiercely devoted to my sense of aliveness.

I live a life with virtually no regrets....

One in which I am contantly growing and learning new things about myself...

Where I am experiencing some of the greatest pleasures and joys life has to offer, interwoven with the deepest heartbreaks and devastation that are also part of being a human on this planet...

I've built a life founded in faith and trust... in myself, in the people around me, and in something greater than us all.

"The Get Souled Life" is the container where you get to be supported and inspired by me on a daily basis to show up more authentically in your everyday life.

This is a community where we know that how you're feeling in a given moment doesn't define you, but that those feelings might very well help you define where you want to go next.

This is a community where we see beyond external achievements and meet each other as equals...as human beings who are each doing our best to find and experience the beauty in life as we learn to bear the heartaches it brings us.

You're tired of people who say "How are you?" without actually wanting to know how you are.
